Description:
In custom housing. Print mounted to card(?) and framed; verso of frame contain newsclipping from Gazelle de Lausanne and image of Daguerre. Variant d; see Notes. There are eleven smoke drawings by Daguerre. The small drawings, which exist in multiple variants of single motifs, were a precursor to Daguerre's experimenation leading up to his partnership with Nicéphore Niépce and eventual development of the daguerreotype
