Description:
Total 13 albumen silver prints mounted on board; loose photographs. One photograph is not part of the original set of twelve, which depicts the Melbourne International Exhibition by Nicholas John Caire. The twelve set depict studio portraits of Aboriginal and European Australians posed against painted backdrops of natural settings. There are eight images of aboriginal men, women and children; four of life in the outback including sheep shearing.
